Tears rolling down her face
She didn't ask for this
He's been yelling at her again
She didn't do it according to his lists
He broke her to her knees
Put her character down on end
Filled with lies for every mistake
She wanted to make him happy, something he'd commend
Instead he wasn't happy with her effort
He should have loved her
When he had the chance
She was his jewel he didn't see, like a blur
Been disrespected and mistreated
She was of so much great worth
Why didn't he treat her as such?
He took her and tore her inside to the very earth
Down on her knees praying
"Lord, give me the courage
I didn't ask for this. I deserve better than this
I feel so much discourage"
She needed to be loved and held
Alas he would not budge
Even asked her to not touch him
Her hopes were gone, how'd she misjudge
Could she be loved?
No, probably not by him
Her hope was gone
And all her chances were slim
There on that day
She had to make a choice
It was time to get her out
She had to raise her voice
There she left
She was tired of the crap
His temper gave her day in and out
There was not mishap
She left wearied and defeated
With a glimpse of hope
It was time to leave, she sighed as a tear rolled down
His last words after she stood up "we're done", she'll have to cope.
